Ben Stiller Confirms Zoolander 2

Roughly a decade after the original feature filmed comedy, “Zoolander,” hit the big screen, talks are resurfacing of an upcoming sequel, reuniting Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson for the titled “Zoolander 2” notch up. And since a sit down with Empire Magazine, co-star Ben Stiller reveals more than simply that the movie is definitely happening.

The Stiller co-written script is in and now it is all about hyping the project up. But with the promotion comes a bit of unexpected plot revealing. During the aforementioned interview with Empire Magazine, Stiller let go of more than one or two minute details.

“It’s ten years later and most of it is set in Europe,” Stiller disclosed. “I don’t want to give away too much, but it’s basically Derek {Stiller’s character} and Hansel [Wilson’s] ten years later – though the last movie ended on a happy note a lot of things have happened in the meantime.”

So it seems that the sequel will provide for more anti-masculine, male model rivaling that we all came to know and love from the original. But also, as an integral part of the forthcoming film, Stiller sheds insight of a Mugatu (played by Will Ferrell) reemergence that is oh so necessary.

“Will Ferrell is written into the script and he’s expressed interest in doing it. I think Mugatu is an integral part of the Zoolander story, so yes, he features in a big way.”

With no word on a projected release date or even the beginning of filming, we all simply hope that the movie will live up to the initial billing and be a really really really ridiculously good movie.
