Life after LeBron James hasn’t been the easiest for the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers, as they are lagging behind subsequently in a weakened Eastern Conference and basically mustering no sign of fight whatsoever. However, a bright light amidst a tunnel of darkness has presented itself to the entire organization, in the form of homeless man, Ted Williams.
Being pulled off of the streets of Columbus, Ohio, long time native to the slums of the city, Williams was spotted just days ago by Columbus dispatch as he was performing voice overs for all who walk by. The rest, therein, is pretty much history as the Cavaliers have since offered who is now dubbed as the “Man with the Golden Voice” a two year position with the club. In addition, the NFL is also looking into the talents of the Ohio local as to possibly use him for future NFL pieces.
“This has been totally, totally amazing,” Williams choked out, just days after the life changing news. “I’m just so thankful. I’m getting a second chance. Amazing. I can’t believe what’s going on. God gave me a million-dollar voice, and I just hope I can do right by him.”
The father of nine then went on to liken himself to recent American Idol sensation Susan Boyle and her unorthodox success she is now experiencing.
It really is quite refreshing to witness such a good hearted story that goes to show blessings can come from the most unlikely of places and good can come therein when there seems to be no sign in sight.
