Earlier today in New York, a press conference was held (not too mafia style) discussing actor John Travolta’s latest film project: “Gotti: Three Generations.” But more surprising than disrespecting the Don and not getting whacked, Lindsay Lohan was in attendance. Why? Good question.
As it turns out, there’s a rumor that 24-year old Lohan is possibly slated to play the role of Don John Gotti’s daughter, Victoria Gotti. Well, at least we know she’s got the necklace heist thing down. According to the Associated Press, “Producer Marc Fiore confirmed Tuesday that he’s in talks with Lohan, whom he called ‘a terrific actress,’ but said nothing had been finalized.
Okay people… this is not a surprise. Lohan is a young attractive girl who’s life over the past few years is riddled with legal issues and tabloid terrorizing. For a while, the police visited Lohan’s West Hollywood pad more often than Dunkin’ Donuts. I’m surprised nobody has checked yet to see if she is indeed already part of the mob.
Travolta, 57, will be playing the role of John Gotti who for years was the head of the Gambino crime family and “had a knack for evading convictions on a variety of mob indictments brought against him, earning him the nicknames Dapper Don and Teflon Don.” During the press conference, Travolta discussed some of the similarities between him and the Don. (And no… Scientology is NOT one of them.) “His father lost a son, and I’ve lost a son, and we discussed that in depth and how painful that is and how painful that was for his father.”
According to reports, Ella Bleu, Travolta’s 11-year old daughter, is set to play one of John Gotti’s young and innocent daughters in the film.
Filming will begin in October with a projected release date in the later part of 2012. So, until then, forgetta ’bout it!
