Quite possibly the most heralded holiday event of year, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is religiously nothing short of a spectacular gathering of showmanship meets jolly spirited on lookers. With each year’s nearing celebration, the anticipation grows in suspecting the march’s esteemed, highlighted entertainers. Per usual, an eclectic plethora of individuals has been nominated to appease all preferences and walks of life. And why would this year be any different?
Amongst many others, highlighting the festive occasion is a duo of select, talented tastemakers in pop diva, Jessica Simpson and producer/emcee, Kanye West. The celebratory event should cap off quite the amazing month for Mr. West, seeing as his long awaited studio album, “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy,” releases just a week or so prior.
I must admit, however, I wasn’t aware that the blonde haired bombshell, Miss Simpson was performing all that much as of late, but I am glad to see her getting back into the swing of things, if you will. If nothing else, for all of us drooling fellas to enjoy aesthetically (hey, at least I’m truthful). Plus, the songstress does indeed have some impressive pipes. Sing on, chica.
As for the rest of the appearances, there are still a number of impressive faces, which some, I’m sure are even more excited to see than the above mentioned. To each his own, right? One such performance that I’m particularly looking forward to is the Roots and Jimmy Fallon, who are certainly no strangers in accompanying one another.
For fear of incessant digression, I will conveniently list for you the remainder of participants in no particular order: India Arie, Big Time Rush, Betty Buckley, Ann Hampton Callaway, the casts of Broadway’s American Idiot, Elf, Memphis and Million Dollar Quartet, the Big Apple Circus, the cast and Muppets of Sesame Street, Miranda Cosgrove, Gloriana, Michael Grimm, Arlo Guthrie, Keri Hilson, Eric Hutchinson, Juanes, Victoria Justice, Gladys Knight, Mannheim Steamroller, Miss USA 2010 Rima Fakih, Power Rangers Samurai, Joan and Melissa Rivers, and Crystal Shawanda.
Not a bad cast, huh? I would leave you with my overbearing plea in jotting down the date to this highly anticipated occasion, but quite frankly, if you haven’t and can’t catch that one, God help you.Tags: host, jessica simpson, Kanye West, Las Vegas, Miami, thanksgiving day parade
