LAS VEGAS, NV — The Laker Show returned to fabulous Las Vegas in a preseason match-up against the Sacramento Kings at Viva’s very own Thomas & Mack.

The reigning NBA Champs showed off their talent and upheld their bragging rights with Andrew Bynum’s strong effort in the first half of the game. Bynum demonstrated his strength after a previous knee injury and scored 20 of his 24 points within the first two quarters to help lead the Lakers to their eventual 98-92 victory over the Kings.
The latest Laker win comes after a disappointing preseason loss in Inglewood where the Golden State Warriors defeated them 110-91.
The Lakers built their momentum in the first quarter of the game and after taking the lead at 24-22, Los Angeles kept the Kings down, never trailing through the rest of the match.
Laker forward Ron Artest, the biggest off-season acquisition made by Los Angeles and quite possibly one of the strongest additions to this year’s team is still not integrated into the Laker Offense. Averaging only 8.3 points and shooting 33.3% in exhibition play, the budding star forward will be one to watch this coming season.
Seasoned vet Kobe Bryant rallied 18 points with four rebounds, four assists and four steals against Sacramento.
Los Angeles, who went 65-17 last season are poised for a better record this year with Bynum’s injury recovery, Artest’s hopeful offensive strength and the return of Lamar Odom to the team roster.
The October 15th game marks the 5th consecutive year that Los Angeles has met with Sacramento in a preseason game and the 11th season that the Lakers have played in exhibition in Las Vegas.Tags: Los Angeles Lakers, Sacramento Kings, Thomas and Mack Center Las Vegas
