This Thursday, February 12th, over one hundred and seventy five cities from around the world will be hosting “Twestivals” which will bring together different Twitter communities for an evening of fun and to fund raise for “charity:water”. In Las Vegas this year, our Twestival will be held at The Beatles Revolution Lounge inside the Mirage Resort & Casino, with an after-party hosted at JET Nightclub by yours truly, MyVegasScene.com.
Charity:water is a non-profit organization that brings clean, safe drinking water to underprivileged people in developing nations. Did you know that 1.1 billion people on the planet don’t have access to safe, clean drinking water? Twestival is here to help. By purchasing tickets to Las Vegas Twestival, you are actually making a donation to charity:water. Our goal as a city is to raise $12,000.00 which is enough to build three wells. Minimum donations start at $20.00, but of course you’re more than welcome to donate as much as you’d like!
For those of you Twitters who are familiar with “Beer and Blog Las Vegas,” a Twitter social networking group here in the valley, the meeting is leaving “The Freaking Frog” venue for this week and will be attending the Las Vegas Twestival at Revolution Lounge. Don’t forget to join the MyVegasScene crew at JET Nightclub for the after party.
