NASCAR Drivers Kurt & Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, David Stremme, Sam Hornish Jr. and others held their own private kart race last night at Pole Position Raceway in Las Vegas. The event was a one-hour endurance race in electric-karts that reach speeds as high as 45mph. The race benefited the Kurt Busch Foundation “Sprint for the Kids” and raised more than $30,000.

Friday the NASCAR Drivers finally got to take their cars out on the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Practice took place all morning for the Sam’s Town 300 Nationwide Series race. While the Sprint Cup Series drivers took the track in the afternoon to practice for the Shelby 427.
Qualifying for the NASCAR Nationwide Series Sam’s Town 300 takes place Saturday, February 28 starting at 9:00 a.m. local time (Noon ET). The Sam’s Town 300 race itself is also Saturday starting at 1:00 p.m. local time (4:00 p.m. ET). Qualifying for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Shelby 427 took place Friday beginning at 3:30 p.m. The Sprint Cup drivers will have one last practice session in between the Nationwide Series Qualifying and Sam’s Town 300 on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. local time (1:30 p.m. ET).
