RED BANK, N.J. –“Skid Row” –Singer Sebastian Bach turned to Facebook Sunday to express his heart break and dismay over the loss of his N.J. home that was condemned in the wake of Hurricane Irene.

The former Skid Row front man said he was “numb, in shock and devastated to report” that his Red Bank, N.J., home was condemned in the wake of Hurricane Irene after a nearby reservoir overflowed and sent a bridge careening into his garage, knocking the house off its foundation and flooding his basement.

Besides losing his home, Bach says countless pieces of Skid Row and Kiss memorabilia were under water.

“Gone are irreplaceable [sic] items, such as my KISS Gargoyles from the 1979 tour,” Bach lamented. “KISS pinball machine. Skid Row master tapes, video & audio, concerts, master tapes from Oh Say Can You Scream etc. Boxes & boxes of one-of-a-kind Skid Row memorabilia, from the first tour to our last, all stuff I collected on the road that no one else had. I had a library in the basement with every single magazine that had Skid Row on the cover … All of this is lost now.”

Bach was happy to report that his ex-wife and kids are safe and that his sons managed to save his father’s artwork and his comic collection from the basement. Unfortunately, they are sitting on the third floor of the house that they are not allowed in to return to in fear that the house may collapse.

“As soon as the power is off, we will pump out the basement & salvage what we can,” he continued. “Everything will be put into storage & then it looks like we will level the house :(”

Now that he’s divorced, however, Bach added, he figures this was a sign that it’s time for him to move to Los Angeles to join his girlfriend and start over.

“I will always love New Jersey but now there is literally nothing left for me here except memories of a past life,” he concluded. “Hello, Los Angeles. Hello, New Life. Here I Am. It’s time for a new start. Like I have a choice.”
