Minutes after LeBron James gunshot of an announcement to “take his talents to South Beach,” fans and critics alike were eager in attempts to award the newly acquired Miami Heat trio of all-stars a formidable nickname. Dywane Wade, Chris Bosh, and now LeBron James – what oh what would suffice in called characterization of the talented trio?
We heard the “Miami Threat,” “Miami Thrice,” the “James Gang” – the list goes on and on. And while we are nearing the midway point of this year’s NBA season, the associated players themselves have yet to chime in with their witty (or lack there of) nomination for the thriving threesome, until just recently that is, when during a weekly press conference two time MVP, LeBron James finally voiced his opinion on the hot topic.
“I see we sell out 99.1 percent on the road, so we call ourselves the Heatles off the Beatles, so every time we take our show on the road we bring a great crowd,” James said quite confidently while speaking to the press just days ago.
Of course, as most fans of the aforementioned iconic group could have guessed, James was quickly questioned with who represented which Beatle. LeBron responded, “I knew that was going to be a question …We’re just the Heatles, man.”
Refusing to delve into the minds, actions, and correlations between the three historic musical figures, equating them to spotlighted hoopsters, I’ll just leave it at this – Bron, let the writers and creatives divvy out the clever nicknames. The Heatles? You and your boys just focus on bringing those rings home come summer time.Tags: Lebron James, Miami Heat, The Beatles
