Solar DJ Booth and Grease Bus Photos From Earth Weekend At The Palms

It was about noon when the solar-powered DJ booth was unveiled at the Palms Pool here Las Vegas. It was built by a company called Sustainable Waves, and used Sharp solar panels to capture sun from the pool deck to convert the sun’s energy into 110 volts of electricity.

President and Owner of the Palms Casino Resort was there for the unveiling, joined by Michael Morton, co-owner of N9NE Group, Jenna Morton, Director of Community Relations for N9NE Group, Jacob Snow, General Manager of the Regional Transportation Commission, Mark McLarry, President of Sustainable Waves and Neal Turley, Co-Founder of Sustainable Waves.

In addition to the solar powered DJ Booth, N9NE Group and the Palms Casino in conjunction with the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada unveiled its first Grease Bus, which was powered by used vegetable oil from N9NE Steakhouse. The bus was wrapped in green-themed artwork that was created by the students from Becker Middle School and Mojave High School.

It was a great day in Las Vegas history as the N9NE Group and the Palms Casino Resort commemorated Earth Day together with green-conscious events during Earth Weekend.
