Anybody still remember Jay-Z’s super smash hit featuring Alicia Keys, “Empire State of mind?” Nah, didn’t think so. Well, the 2009 New York anthem has virtually been played billions (no, really) of times, all across the world and is still going strong almost a full two years after its release. Case in point, a new video has been shot to accommodate the ever-relevant record, featuring some of the most attractive women you will ever lay your eyes on. That’s right — the creative footage of course was shot in the greatest city on earth (so they say) and highlights a couple dozen supermodels. Now that’s smart producing right there.
What are the females doing in the video, you might ask. Lip syncing, of course. What else? Just think Britney Spears and then you’ll be all good. So while some may be reluctantly tired of the oversampled nature of the track — if that’s the case — I simply suggest utilizing the mute function, and then you’re good to go. I’m not really sure what you need the volume for, during a piece like this anyway.
But let me stop the digression right here and simply urge you — to press play.
