LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Celebrities say the stupidest things at times and actress Natalie Portman is no exception. During a recent interview with MTV, Portman told the interviewer that she would “totally take parenting advice from co-star Ashton Kutcher.” WHAT!!
Portman, who recently announced she was pregnant with her first child, was out promoting her latest predictable piece of shit romantic comedy, “No Strings Attached,” when she said she was really hoping to get some feedback from co-star Ashton Kutcher.
Pardon my cynicism, but when did Ashton Kutcher become the next Dr. Spock? What qualifies him as a good parent or a parent at all? Just because he married Demi Moore who has children does not automatically make him a parent.
Some may disagree with my assessment, but here are some cold hard facts. Kutcher is a 32-year-old actor who married Moore in 2005. Her three children at that time were 17, 14 and 12. Her kids were all past the point of diapers and midnight feedings. The fact that Kutcher is living in the same house and shagging their mom does not qualify him as parent.
More than likely these kids had nannies, tutors and maids that took on the day to day chores most parents endure. Playing video games with the kids does not make him a parent.
To play devil’s advocate, what advice could Kutcher offer other than being a male model, acting like an asshole on television and hooking up with a woman twice his age?
If Portman wanted to take some fatherly advice, perhaps she should ask the kids real father, actor Bruce Willis.Tags: Ashton Kutcher, Editorial, Natalie Portman, Parenting Advice
